Kittery Museum seeks
Administrative Assistant

The Kittery Historical & Naval Society is searching for a year-round, part-time Administrative Assistant. This position will support the work of the Society and its well-known Museum, which is located near the traffic circle in Kittery, Maine.

The Society is a small, non-profit organization. The Museum is open on a seasonal basis (Apr-Oct), while our trustees and volunteers are active year-round. The museum, featuring maritime artifacts and local community memorabilia, is a highly-rated attraction. Each year, we welcome numerous visitors to Maine, typically from more than forty states and ten foreign countries, including many visitors from the local Seacoast area. For additional information about the Society, see our www.kitterymuseum.org website.

Responsibilities will include weekly operations, such as scheduling volunteers, processing memberships and donations, ordering supplies, and working with our Board of Trustees. Candidates should have some administrative experience and associated computer skills (word processing). Non-profit experience and an appreciation of local history would be helpful.

This opening is ideal for someone who seeks flexibility in their own schedule. It is a yearly, paid, contract position for about eight-to-twelve hours per week. See below for more information.
